Founder & Audiologist

Ashley Woodall, Au.D., CCC-A

Ashley founded Ear Outfitters because she believes everyone deserves easy access to professional hearing care — not just people who can make it to a clinic. From screening preschoolers and fitting custom ear molds to maintaining hearing aids at senior living facilities and keeping workers safe on the job, she brings doctoral-level audiology wherever it's needed.

She earned her B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and her Doctor of Audiology from The University of Texas at Austin, where her research on auditory perception was published in the American Journal of Audiology and recognized with a Best Paper award by the Acoustical Society of America. Her clinical background spans pediatric and vestibular audiology, and she's spent her career focused on two things: catching hearing issues early and helping people protect the hearing they have.

That focus extends beyond the clinic. As a volunteer with the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians, she provided hearing healthcare and custom protection for Austin's uninsured musicians — work that still shapes how she thinks about access and prevention today. She's also a software engineer, which means everything from the booking system to the reporting is designed to be seamless for clients and fully compliant for their records.

When she's not fitting ear molds or cleaning wax out of hearing aids, you'll find her at home in Austin with her husband, two children, and two dogs — hands in the garden, on a hiking trail, or practicing her latte art.

Michelle Hsieh, Ph.D., Au.D., CCC-A — Audiologist at Ear Outfitters
Audiologist

Michelle Hsieh, Ph.D., Au.D., CCC-A

Michelle is a pediatric audiologist who leads the audiology team at Dell Children's Medical Center. Working with children every day, she sees firsthand how early identification of hearing disorders changes outcomes — and she brings that urgency to every Ear Outfitters screening.

Her doctoral research at UT Austin focused on otoacoustic emissions and the auditory brainstem response, with peer-reviewed publications in the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America and Hearing Research. Her work was recognized with the American Academy of Audiology Student Research Forum Award, the AAA Student Investigator Research Grant, and the Jesse H. Jones Endowed Centennial Fellowship from UT Austin's Moody College of Communication.

When she's not in the clinic or in the field with us, you'll find her on the ballroom dance floor or in the kitchen perfecting her next bake.
